Cartoon Easy Chair

Cartoon Easy Chair

Designers Stine Gam (Denmark) and Enrico Fratesi (Italy) have created a collection of chairs inspired by children’s illustrations.

The Cartoon Easy Chair, pictured here, is a disproportionate piece made of materials and details typical of contemporary Scandinavian design, with the usage of wood and natural colors.

Their goal with the oversized back rest was to create an element of “anthropomorphism, cartoonish personage between human and form.”

We certainly see the connection. Droopy, the animated cartoon character, an anthropomorphic basset hound, immediately came to mind.

The chairs are an innovative idea and add a touch of youthfulness to any room.
