Zaha Hadid’s Faucet
Zaha Hadid’s Faucet
Where does Zaha Hadid find the time, energy, and drive to create all of her contemporary marvels? Ms. Hadid, the PritzkerAward-winning architect who has impressed and inspired us with her work on the Performing Arts Center in Abu Dhabi, the Bergisel Ski Jump in Austria, the London Olympic Aquatic Center, Chanel’s Mobile Art project, and the Antwerp Port Authority in Belgium, has now added a faucet piece to her design collection.
The faucet, which resembles an upside down swan’s head, is a stainless steel piece very much in accordance with Ms. Hadid’s signature style of swooping smooth curves with a futuristic twist.
Besides its unprecedented physical feature, the faucet is also unconventional because it allows for three different forms for dispensing water; the traditional hot and cold waterways and an extra filter for drinking water. The high-tech filter is activated through an electronic button and sports a light indicator to signal when it needs replacing.
Yet another outstanding modern piece by an outstanding designer. See Established and Sons to get your own Zaha Hadid faucet sculpture.
