The Peace Market is an annual event to raise funds for the Seeds of Peace camp. Founded in 1993, Seeds of Peace is an international youth organization that brings together youth from conflict regions to discuss coexistence and conflict resolution.

The event is hosted by the Young Leadership Committee, a dynamic group of peace- minded young professionals committed to supporting the mission of Seeds of Peace and empowering the next generation of leaders. This year’s Honorary Chair will be Ms. Ivanka Trump.

In previous years, the event has hosted speakers such as former President Bill Clinton, CNN International Correspondent Christiane Amanpour and former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. A number of celebrities have also shown their support from Robert De Niro, Claire Danes, to Bar Refaeli.

The skeletons are represented in different every day attitudes, like holding onto a fleeing love, thinking, playing a guitar, and making love.

All of the sculptures are mounted on a marble, onyx, or stainless steel base. Saúl created the pieces in bronze with a wax of silver, a treatment used for jewelry. He works from his studio, Saúl Hernández H & M Foundry, in Zapopan, Mexico.

At the Royal Cafe in Copenhagen, Rud Christiansen has created a new tasty phenomenon called Smushi, a combination of Danish smørrebrød, (Danish for butter and bread) usually rye, dense or dark brown bread, with a contemporary sushi twist.

Smørrebrød is a traditional Danish sandwich expanding back over 300 years. Peasants originally eat this simple bread and butter meal and gradually added meat, vegetables, and species as their economic circumstances improved. Throughout the years, this culinary practice developed different procedures by flavors, layers, and colors.

Christiansen has taken smørrebrød onto another level by refining the plate, making the dish a lot smaller and with an artistic decor.

Smushi is created in a number of combinations, one of these is the sponge like bread and butter with the traditional Danish salmon, a beautifully cut apple flower topped with roe, and possibly finished with wasabi or fresh mint.

Since its opening, the Royal Cafe has had interested Asian partners who would like to expand the restaurant into Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, and Taipei.

Like sushi, smushi seems simple enough for you to try at home.
