The richest man alive with the biggest heart, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Warren Buffett has given his fortune to charity, with 83 percent of his wealth going to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

The Bill and Melinda Gates foundation will receive around US 30.7 billion making it the largest donation in history. Mr. Buffett has also announced to contribute an additional 6.7 billion dollars in Berkshire stock to the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation.

Warren Buffett will not bequeath a majority of his wealth to his children due to his opposition to the transfer of large wealth from one generation to the next. He has been quoted to say that he wants ‘to give [his] kids just enough so that they would feel that they could do anything, but not so much that they would feel like doing nothing.’

In 2008, Forbes crowned Mr. Buffett as the richest man in the world, replacing Bill Gates who held the title for over a decade. At Gloobbi, we think of him as the man with the biggest heart.
