Limes Hotel, Brisbane

The new Limes Hotel, by Argentinean designer Alexander Lotersztain, is the first modern Australian hotel to join the Design Hotels Organization.

Opened in Fortitude Valley, known for Brisbane’s late nights, trendy cafes, bars, and clubs, this 21 room boutique hotel sports an open air roof top bar and cinema increasingly popular with chic locals and “in-the-know” travelers.

To say Mr. Lotersztain paid great attention to the details in the hotels interior is an understatement. Each room has been individually hand painted through a mineral coating technique perfected by Julien Fantone from Ida Creations.

The rooms also feature Blacbutt timber bed heads, Corian kitchen benches and toilette vanities among other state-of-the-art custom pieces.

The Limes concept is based on comfort while at the same time it incorporates its dynamic urban surroundings to provide travelers an unconventional Brisbane experience.
